Farida Idris Mohammed Acquitted in Murder Plot Case
The Director of Public Prosecutions, Renson Ingonga, is under public scrutiny for allegedly interfering with a criminal case involving Farida Idris Mohammed, who was accused of plotting to murder her ex-lover, Mr. Hussein Aila Amaro.
Mohammed was acquitted by the court after the DPP allegedly withdrew her case; the DPP has denied the claims.
Last week, the complainant wrote a letter to the head of public prosecution calling for the removal of the DPP from office. The letter drew public attention.
In the letter, Farida Idris Mohammed‘s ex-lover, Mr Hussein Aila Amaro, a man who once enjoyed her affairs with the Capital FM commercial Director, stated that the DPP erroneously made the move to withdraw her case after getting strict instructions

Cases of women threatening husbands have been on the rise as men continue scampering for safety.
Most women use the courts and organisations like FIDA to promote their cause. Additionally, the DPP has been severely accused of tampering in many cases through the use of the withdrawal section of the constitution. The law allows the DPP to withdraw charges against individuals at any stage of the court proceedings
