Iran’s ambassador to Kenya has confirmed the death of their Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In an emotional press release, Ambassador Ali Gholampour described the Supreme Leader as a matyr, after he lost his life in the strikes happened in the early hours of Saturday, the tenth day of Ramadan annd targeted defensive and non military facilities acrossa number of Iranian cities.

The envoy called out to the United Nations Security council demanding they convene immediately and take binding action to stop the aggression and for them to uphold their Charter before it is reduced to a worthless document.

The ambassador also called out to the international community cautiouning that this was their fight just as much as it is Iran’s, stating that if the aggression against Iran isn’t met by a firm response from the international community then it would mark the beginning if the end of all international institutions and the rule of law. “Today it is Iran, Tomorrow it could be any of you”

He described the operation as a cowardly and coordinated military aggresion that went against Article2(4) of the United Nations Charter violating the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic.

“In this same cowardly attack, the enemy sought to strike at the very heart and soul of the Iranian nation. I must inform you with a heavy heart, and with tears that I cannot hide, that our beloved Leader, the guiding light of our revolution and the guardian of our unity, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has been martyred,” the Ambassador said.

Ambassador Gholampour condemned the timing of the attack, stating that it occured during the Holy month of Ramadan, a time for peace and reflection. He argued that this move by the aggresors demonstrated their lack of respect for sanctity, law and human value.

He further condemned the move revealing that the attack came when Ian was actively and genuinely engaged in diplomatic discussions with the United States as a sign of good faith.

“We entered negotiations in good faith—not because we trusted them, but to prove the righteousness of the Iranian nation and to leave no pretext for aggression. And how were we answered? With bombs. With missiles. And with the blood of our Leader.”

The Ambassador cited Article 51 of the United Nations Charter asserting Iran’s legitimate right to self defence declaring that they would employ all necessary capabilities to confront the aggression telling the United States and Israel that they have opened a door that they cannot close.

In his closing remarks directed at the Iranian people, Gholampour insisted that while the leader has fallen, the nation’s leadership lives on. “Our path is clear. Our cause is just. And our response will be firm, decisive, and one that will make the aggressors regret the day they dared to strike the land of Cyrus and the heirs of Imam Hussein,” he stated.
