One of three people accused of fraudulently swapping using OCS Samson Talam’s sim card, has pleaded guilty to that offense.
Dennis Masavi Musyimi has pleaded guilty to three counts while charges were read to them.
The other two are Amos Nzomo and James Mutemi who have denied the charges before magistrate Dolphina Alego.
They are charged that on diverse dates between June 16 and 19, 2025 within the country with another not before court, fraudulent intent replaced Sim card of a number belonging to Talam Samson Kiprotich and unlawfully solicited money for their own gain.
They are said to have solicited for gain using the same line.
Mutemi was also charged with unlawfully using an Identity card belonging to another person contrary to Section 14(F) of registration of person Act.
In Count 4, Nzomo has been charged with permitting another person to be in possession of an Identity card issued to him against the law.
He is accused of allowing Nzisa to use an ID card belonging to another person.
Dennis Masavi Musyimi was charged in the last count with obtaining registration by false pretenses against the law.
Court was informed that on June 16, 2025 within the country, willfully procured for the other person registration of Sim Card replacement belonging to Talam Samson Kiprotich by false pretenses to be the said Talam Samson Kiprotich.
OCS Talaam is being represented by lawyer Danstan Omari in other cases.
