In a shocking turn of events, Nairobi County has ordered the immediate closure of all Naivas Supermarkets branches in Nairobi city after county health officials made a disturbing discovery: expired products on the shelves!

One Twitter user lamented, “If Naivas can’t guarantee our safety, where can we shop without fear?”

Authorities are now investigating how the expired items ended up on the shelves, with some insiders hinting at possible lapses in quality control and management oversight. Health officials have vowed to conduct thorough inspections of other major supermarkets to ensure consumer safety.

As the dust settles and Nairobi’s residents search for alternative shopping options, Naivas faces an uphill battle to restore its reputation. Will the retail giant bounce back from this public relations nightmare, or will the scandal leave a lasting
