Kenya Wins the African Catchball Championship,2025 takes the Cup Home.

The African Catchball Championship is underway, with teams from Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, and South Africa coming together to celebrate sport, unity, and women’s leadership.
A Kenyan Team travelled to South Africa on June 14, 2025 and returned on June 21,2025 to participate in Africa Catchball Cup SA 2025 where they were warmly welcomed by The President of Catchball South Africa Papa Douglas Shilubane.
“We are grateful to host you here, we intent to spread this sport the whole of South Africa and you coming here is a positive gesture, feel safe and enjoy your stay, “added Papa Shilubane.
The sport attracted many local community some of which just wanted to learn the game, some school children flocked at Pimville, Gauteng, South Africa Stadium at Soweto to watch the tournament.
There was huge interactions people making new friends and learning new languages, Kenyan players interacted with teams from Limpopo, Gauteng Stars, Mpumalanga among others.
“We really want to learn more about this game and we are happy to have team from Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria here, “Makarina Mokoena one of SA Players.
Roselyn Molakeng, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said she was grateful to host the tournament and she would ensure her teams also get exposure.
“I congratulate team Kenya for the win, we also hope to win in the future matches, and it was great having you here, “added Molakeng.

Uganda: 1 game | 0 wins

Gauteng Stars: 2 games | 1 win

Kenya: 2 games | 2 wins
M. Super Stars: 2 games | 1 win
Uganda: 3 games | 2 wins
Gauteng Stars: 2 games | 0 wins
Mpumalanga: 1 game | 1 win
Semifinals:
South Africa 🇿🇦 vs. Kenya 🇰🇪
Uganda 🇺🇬 vs. Gauteng Stars
Game time: 9:00 AM – 12:30 hrs.

“Every pass is a chance to connect, and the power truly lies in togetherness, “he added. He also applauded The Kenyan Ministry of Sport for supporting the team to travel to SA.
