Kenya has emerged the winner at East Africa Catch-ball Cup Championship tournament held at Kampala Uganda.

The Tournament held at ARCHBISHOP PAUL SSEMOGERERE sports arena on October 18 and 19th attracted huge cloud from all East Africa.

Kenyan team was hosted by Ugandan officials lead by Bugere Sowed who is Uganda Catch-ball President and representative for Africa and Europe in international Catchball federation board Mr.Kayiwa Hassan who is also an official.

Mr Bugere together with Kenyan officials Faith Karanja and Maxwell Odero officially launched the games.

The tournament was for two categories (Senior 18-36 and most Seniors 37-60 years).

Umoja fire girls won senior women categories and Eaglets Catchball Club Won most Senior categories.

Both teams are from Kenya.

They competed with Uganda teams.

Kenya Catch-ball Federation through its President Shadrack Okello expresses gratitude to Ms. Sarah Mtalii of Virtuous Women Explorers Club, A Company Empowering Women for her generous support through your promise to support one of the our catchball club with uniforms to the Winners Fire Girls Club.

“We are very thankful for the law firm of Mwenda Njagi Advocates,Danstan Omari &Associates,Lawyer John Ogada,Harrison Kinyanjui,Among others for your promise to support our team in the near future collaboration”added Shadrack.

The highly contested tournament was about Catchball clubs Champions in East Africa whereby the winners were awarded trophies and medals.

They were awarded as the club Catchball champions of the East Africa 2025 under senior and most senior categories.

The game coordinator Maxwell Odero expressed a huge congratulations to the winners for bringing home the trophy and gold medal our Catchball Umoja fire Girls and Eaglets most senior team.

“We are incredibly proud of your outstanding performance in the recent sports event. Your passion, discipline, and teamwork were on full display, and it was a joy to watch,”he added.

He continued that the achievement is a testament to their hard work.

“Congratulations, champions East Africa Catchball Club Championship in Kampala Uganda 2025. We are proud of you to the rest of our teams for your participation and we believe you will do better next event,”said MR.Bogere of Uganda.
