A rape suspect accused of brutalizing, tying up, raping, and filming a young girl has been charged at Makadara Law Courts.
Leonard Ngatia Wanjiru now faces charges of indecent acts with an adult against the law.
Understanding the Case of Leonard Ngatia Wanjiru
The court heard that on October 18, 2025, at Mwiki Township in Kasarani Sub-County, he intentionally touched the breast and vagina of the young girl with his hands.
He was also charged with insulting modesty by forcible stripping, contrary to section 251 (a) of the PENAL CODE.
The accused is said to have tied the lady’s hands and stripped her naked.
In count 3, Ngatia was charged with assault causing bodily harm against the law.
He was charged with assaulting the said girl on diverse dates between October and November at the same place.
Ngatia was also charged with threatening to kill against the law.

He was charged that on diverse dates between the months of October and November 2025, through text messages, he threatened to kill the lady, saying, “Ntakumaliza na watanishika ukienda ICU.” ”.
The victim is being represented by Turunga Ithagi Advocates.
Lawyer Turunga informed the court that since there is public outrage on this matter, he should remain in custody.
“The victim is a young girl and is still traumatised. I oppose the release of the accused on bail,” added Turunga.
The accused was released on Sh 200,000 cash bail, which he wanted to be reduced.
The matter will be mentioned on March 5, 2026, for the ruling after going through the pre-bail report.
