Steven John Waswa,a gold suspect has been charged with conspiracy to defraud a Company of over Sh 223M.
He has been charged that on March 31, 2024 and May 30, 2024 at Nairobi city county within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others before court conspired to commit a felony namely stealing a sum of Sh of 1,271,200.74 US Dollars equivalent to approximately to Sh 223,756,000 from Tanner Caldwell Cook by falsely pretending that you were in position to sell to him 2820kgs of Gold knowing it was untrue.
Waiswa was also charged in another court with obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to Section 313 of the penal code.
The court was informed that on diverse dates between March 31, 2024 and May 30, 2024 at Nairobi City County, jointly with others not before court obtained 1,271,200.74 US Dollars equivalent to approximately to Sh 223,756,000 from Tanner Caldwell Cook by falsely pretending that you were in position to sell to him 2820kgs of Gold knowing it was untrue.
