Kansai Plascon Kenya has launched a fan-driven initiative that will allow Gor Mahia supporters to directly contribute to the club’s 2026/27 CAF Champions League campaign through the purchase of a special edition paint product.
Dubbed the Wallcover K’Ogalo Edition, the initiative will see a percentage of proceeds from every sale of the limited-edition Plascon Trade Wall Cover Emulsion donated towards supporting Gor Mahia’s participation in Africa’s premier club competition.
The campaign comes after Gor Mahia reclaimed the 2025/26 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League title, earning the right to represent Kenya in the CAF Champions League, whose preliminary rounds are set to begin in September.
The initiative is the first of its kind in Kenya, transforming everyday consumer purchases into a fundraising platform for a football club while extending corporate sponsorship beyond traditional branding.
Speaking during the launch, Kansai Plascon Kenya Managing Director Enami Kota said the partnership was aimed at creating a lasting impact for the club and its supporters.
“Our partnership with Gor Mahia has always been about more than sponsorship. It is about investing in a legacy that inspires millions of Kenyans. This initiative allows supporters to celebrate the club’s achievements while directly contributing towards its future as the team prepares to fly the Kenyan flag in the CAF Championship,” said Kota.
He added that the company believes corporate partnerships should go beyond visibility and create meaningful value for sports and communities.
“We believe corporate partnerships should create meaningful impact beyond branding.”
Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose Rachier welcomed the initiative, saying it demonstrates the importance of long-term partnerships in modern football.
“This partnership reflects what modern football requires—long-term collaboration built on shared ambition. Kansai Plascon has stood with us as partners, and this latest initiative demonstrates a genuine commitment to supporting the club beyond the football pitch,” Rachier said.
He noted that every supporter who purchases the commemorative product will play a role in helping the club compete on the continental stage.
“Every supporter who purchases the K’Ogalo Edition becomes part of our journey as we prepare to compete on the continental stage.”
The limited-edition packaging features Gor Mahia’s iconic green-and-white colours, championship-inspired graphics and visual elements celebrating the club’s successful 2025/26 league-winning season.
The campaign is themed “Champions on the Pitch. Champions in Every Home,” highlighting the role of football in uniting Kenyans while encouraging fans to support the club beyond the stadium.
Kansai Plascon said the initiative reflects its long-term commitment to Kenyan football and demonstrates how corporate partnerships can contribute to the sustainable growth of sport by empowering clubs and their supporters alike.
