Bank of Baroda (Kenya) Limited is facing a KSh 2.9 billion damages claim by Infinity Industrial Park Limited following significant developments in the long-running commercial dispute between the industrial park developer and the bank.
Infinity Industrial Park had obtained a default judgment in proceedings against Bank of Baroda, with the company pursuing, among its remedies, a claim for approximately KSh 2.9 billion in damages.
The Bank subsequently moved to court seeking to set aside the default judgment. However, in a ruling delivered on 31 July 2026, the High Court dismissed the Bank’s application to set aside the default judgment.
The ruling represented a significant procedural victory for Infinity Industrial Park because the Bank’s attempt to reopen or displace the default judgment was unsuccessful.
