Nadra Modhihiri Mohamed Halts Sh 110M Land Fraud Case

Nadra Modhihiri Mohamed is a Swedish citizen who is currently facing charges in Kenya related to a fraudulent attempt to take possession of property in Eastleigh.

She was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts and pleaded not guilty to three counts: conspiracy to defraud, forgery, and obtaining land registration by pretence.

The charges stem from an alleged attempt to defraud her stepmother of property valued at Ksh 110 million

When the matter came for hearing today, the court was informed that Nadra Modhiri Mohamed has obtained orders to suspend the lower court case.

In the case, Nadra is charged that on November 5, 2011, at an unknown place, jointly with others not before the court, conspired to defraud the late Modhihiri Mohamed Modhihiri of a property known as LR NO. 36/VII/465 measuring approximately 0.2085 hectares, located in Eastleigh, Nairobi, valued at Sh 110,000,000.

She is said to have falsely drawn a forged indenture of conveyance purportedly registered under presentation number 447 of 8/12/2011 under volume N44 Folio 14/4 file 13552, knowing it was untrue.

She has been charged in the second count with forging a title deed of the said land against the law.

The court has been informed that on November 5, 2011, at an unknown place within the country, with intent to defraud the estate of the late Modhihiri Mohamed Modhihiri of the said land.

In the last count, Nadra is charged with obtaining registration of the said parcel of land by falsely preparing an indenture of conveyance in consideration of the sum of Sh 30,000,000, pretending that he had bought it from the late Modhihiri Mohamed, knowing it was untrue.
