Former ODM SG Edwin Sifuna will know his fate on September 16,2026 in a case where he is challenging his removal from the Party.

This is after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal  reserved 10/09/2026 as a date for the judgment which was eventually ratified by the Registrar of Political Parties.

Parties agreed to have the complaint determined through their filed written submissions.

Sifuna through SC Okero submitted that the NEC acted outside its mandate under Article 74(2) of the ODM constitution while ODM represented by SAM MAKORI, KEN AMONDI and Hon T.J.KAJWANG argued that the Tribunal lacks jurisdiction as the complainant ought to approach the Tribunal by way of an Appeal under the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal(Procedure) Regulations 2017, Regulation 7.

They further submitted that the NEC acted well within Article 74(2) of the ODM constitution with the Disciplinary Committee safeguarding procedural fairness.
