MediHeal Hospital Denies Organ Trafficking Allegations
MediHeal Hospital Denies Involvement in Organ Trafficking, Dismisses Claims of Receiving Donor Funds. MediHeal Group of Hospitals has strongly refuted allegations linking the facility to donor-funded transactions and international organ trafficking.
Addressing members of the press, Dr. Srinivas Murthy, a senior official at the hospital, clarified that MediHeal has no role in any organ trafficking network. He emphasized that all patients seeking transplant services arrive at the hospital with their own donors, contrary to media claims suggesting the hospital is involved in donor sourcing.
“The clients come to the hospital on their own, and all procedures are followed by legal and medical guidelines,” Dr Murthy affirmed.

MediHeal Hospital, Mishra, finally responds
Vice President of MediHeal Group of Hospitals, Maryline Limo, also dismissed media reports suggesting the hospital receives funds from donors. The reports had named MediHeal as a key site for transplant surgeries, alleging that recipients were charged up to $200,000 (approximately Ksh 25.9 million) per kidney transplant.
Limo reiterated that the hospital operates within legal frameworks, with donors signing formal affidavits affirming their consent, free of any financial coercion or compensation.
“I want to make it clear that MediHeal is not involved in any financial exchange with donors. The payments we receive are strictly for the medical services provided. Any claims suggesting otherwise are entirely false,” she said.
MediHeal has maintained that all its operations are conducted transparently and in compliance with national and international health regulations.
